Hi,

Is there a way to export the feedbacks and comments of a project discussion?

I have take a look in the Data model  but it seems they are not stored in a UrbanDatabase. Is it correct?

Ideally, I would like to export the positionned pins along with the comments.

Thank you.

Hi @MaximeDemers ,

Thanks for your question.

It is correct that both public feedback and internal discussions are stored outside of the Urban database.

Urban's public feedback and internal discussion capabilities are powered by technology provided by Esri's ArcGIS Hub team.

Public feedback is currently stored in a feature layer called "Hub Annotations." This feature layer is created automatically on your ArcGIS Online org the first time you enable "Public Engagement" in any Urban Model on a given org. There is always just one "Hub Annotations" layer per ArcGIS Online org. If you have multiple Urban Models with "Public Engagement" enabled, they will all write to the same feature layer.
However, we plan to move away from the "Hub Annotations" layer soon and will start leveraging "hub.js" - a library that allows integrating different functionality provided by ArcGIS Hub.

For the internal discussions we use "ArcGIS Hub Discussions" which is a part of the "hub.js" library. "Hub Discussions" has its own mechanism to store the individual posts. There is currently no function in place yet, that allows exporting them.

Please feel free to submit an ArcGIS Urban Idea if you think such an export capability should be provided by Urban.

In case of additional questions, please reach out.
