When I try to sign in to ArcGIS that I downloaded onto my desktop, I am getting the following error message:

Your account could not be used to authorize ArcGIS Pro because it is an ARC GIS Public Account. 

ArcGIS Pro has been working fine for the last 6 months or so.  I only got this error message when I changed my network password.  thanks in advance

Hi Michael,

It sounds like you have multiple ArcGIS accounts: one that you were previously using to license ArcGIS Pro, and also a public one. Please sign out of the public account in Pro and sign back in with your other account. 

If you're not sure what your other account is, go to https://www.arcgis.com/, click Sign In, and click Forgot Username? You'll receive an email with all of your different account usernames. If you have multiple email addresses you may need to try a few different times.
