Is there any viewer in ArcGIS for see MXD Documents?

A customer questioned me about this, since they compared with autodesk, that in this case they if have a viewer for DWG.

Do you know any viewer in ArcGIS for MXD or SHP?

I hope your comments.

Braulio.

Basically for "viewing MXD" files, obviously there is the ArcGIS Desktop software (ArcMap and also ArcGIS Pro). However those are licensed software. If you have access to ArcGIS Desktop and the Publisher extension, you can export your map (MXD) to a format called PMF: ArcGIS Publisher | Overview

The other person would be able to download ArcReader | Overview  (free) to open the PMF file created in Publisher.

You could also export the MXD file to a PDF file.

For viewing shapefiles (compressed in a ZIP) you could use ArcGIS Online. See Add layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS or you can use ArcGIS Explorer | GIS Viewer | Free GIS Software & Maps

Or have a look here for other alternatives to view shapefiles: https://www.gislounge.com/shapefile-viewers/

You should also add ArcCatalog to your list, for a quick snapshot of the mxd in the preview, or with a right-click to see sources used. Also, it can preview shapes, and many other types of files, and show all the properties, etc.
