Hello,
I was curious to know if there are any surveys with functionality that links back to other places in the survey. One example would be an answer to a question that jumps to a different area in the survey when selected.
Thank you,
Kara
Hi Kara,
In Survey123, the main method for guiding a user through a survey as you describe is to hide or show questions based on previous answers; in your case, 'jumping' often is used to skip questions that are not relevant based on an answer; Survey123 can be set to hide those questions instead of moving to the next relevant question.
What about 'jumping' to the next section but still having the information filled in from the previous section? I find that any data previously entered will get erased on a hidden question.
Hi Kara,
There are a couple of methods that previously answered questions could be removed from view. One method would be to group questions; the group UI has a hide/show button. A second method is to use the pages style functionality to transform groups into survey pages. For more information on both, see Appearance—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS
Thanks, James!
