Survey123 Repeats and Geopoint

I have created a survey to capture details about resources available at a particular location. I have basic information (organization, contact, etc) outside of the repeat, then within the repeat I ask for the location (using geopoint) and specific characteristics about that location.

The items within the repeat are shown at the proper location on the resulting map, but the data outside of the repeat is showing at (0,0). Is there a way to not have the data outside of the repeat use the location collected on each of the repeats? The data outside of the repeat doesn't change, so I don't want users to have to re-enter it each time, but it should be located at the same spot as the data within the repeat.

Thanks

Kathy F

Here's my Excel.

I am willing to do this any way it can be done.

How can the Parent not be at (0,0)?

Thank you

Do you have a geopoint question in the parent at all?  You should

Can you provide an example of how I would do that? You are correct. There's no geopoint question for the parent. I am missing something maybe simple. Thank you again

Well that is why you are getting the 0,0 then.  You need to add a geopoint to the parent.  With no question there it will default to 0,0 as you are seeing.  In general you always want a geopoint question.

Sorry just say this.  Simply add a geopoint to the parent section.

How do you inherit the parent geopoint?

@EmilySpeck  You can just add the name of the parent geopoint into the calculation of the child geopoint I think.  Just like any other field.  Give it a try

I think I am having a issue with my pulldata calculation. I am using a CSV file to pull the information. It is reading the coordinates on Connect, but on AGOL it is reading (0,0). I attached a screenshot of my Connect form.

The CSV file is link media to my Connect, do I have to upload the file to AGOL as well?

It could be the order of operations as the web can be different.  So its trying the repeat geopoint before pulldata loads.  Try putting a relevant on the geopoint in the repeat that makes sure the parent geopoint is not empty.

May have to try != "" and if not try string-length > 0

If that does not work try a relevant tied to one of the pulldata fields.

I would turn off hidden for now to see what its getting and when.  Always good for testing to see the values and hide later.

Hope that does it.
