Shape Area collected in Survey123 not showing in Map Viewer
Hello.
Big Picture: I'm trying to use data collected from Survey123 to display on a dashboard using Experience Builder.
I want to sum up the area of the polygons made in Survey123. Users draw the shape of the encampment and I am able to see the square footage in Survey123. Picture below.
When I try to sum that data in Experience Builder from the map Survey 123 created, I kept getting 0.
I think my issue is that the field comes up as 0 on Map Viewer. I'll insert screenshots. Thoughts? Is there another way I should be doing this?
This is the first time I try using both Survey123 and Experience Builder. I have limited experience with Map Viewer/Classic.
I've tried following this article: Calculating area, length, and other geometric properties because I thought I had to set it up to make calculations but I'm not sure if it'll resolve my issue plus the Calculations tab doesn't pop up, only statistics when I right click.
Any help would be great! I've also contacted my Esri rep to see if our non-profit package has any TA support but I would love to hear from community members. Thanks.
Survey123 Version: 3.17
I use ArcGIS Online.
@cyyyn206 I guess one approach you can take is to include a calculation in your Survey123 form so the area is calculated into a Number hidden question. Follow instructions as shown in the animation below:
Later, you will be able to use this numeric field in Experience Builder.
