Select and Edit Polygon Feature Data

Relatively new Survey123 user here- trying to allow external users to select a (hosted) polygon feature, and fill a form to update the table data.

Seems pretty straightforward, but I cannot figure out how to select the polygon on the map in the Survey123 App (Android)- or on Survey123 Connect (Windows) for that matter. New polygons can be created with the App, but I don't want users creating new geometry, just filling forms on existing geometry.

The feature layer is set for Public Data Collection, with all of the Editing Options enabled, with Editing capabilities allowed.  The survey was created in Connect, from Organization Feature Services, selecting the layer. I've tried different popup settings on the Webmap, and it allows Edit from the popup.

What am I missing?

Hi @Yarrr ,

I think you are looking for the Inbox feature in the Survey123 app. Here is the related documentation: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/prepareforediting.htm

To enable the Inbox for your survey, you need to configure the following settings as shown in the screenshot:

Thanks @Ruth_JiatengXu

Inbox was enabled, and the feature layer is set to allow edits of geometry and attributes.

The feature polygons do appear in the map, but there doesn't appear to be a way to select them to begin filling the form.

I did notice that in 'settings' of the XLSFrom 'instance_name' is not populated, is this of value?

Hi @Yarrr ,

"Apply spatial filter when map tab is visible" needs to be toggled on in Connect. Then, in the field app, choose the feature using the "Map" tab, click "Refresh", and then the selected feature will be shown on the "List" tab for editing.

I am wondering if you were able to select them on the Map tab and use the selection as the filter for the List tab?

Thanks,

Ruth

Hi @Ruth_JiatengXu

Yes, spatial filter was on.

I've been instructed to look into pulldata("layer") calculation.

The issue that I'm encountering is that there is no way to select/choose a feature on the map- not by clicking, and there are no selection tools show- only options to create new polygon features.
