Hi Kyle Gjeruldsen I am not sure we have enough info to help you out here. The behavior of defaults has not changed recently. I am guessing you are using the Survey123 field app? Or are you using a web form? Can you share your form? May be a link to your form, or a link to your XLSForm?

It's just strange that everything had been working for several months and then I started having problems (I thought) with the script that sends out status emails. I had been trying to troubleshoot the email script, when I figured out the status wasn't being populated with default values.
