Hello,

This could be a completely obvious answer, but I am using the "geoshape" question type and I'm wondering if I could pull the length and width from the perimeter. A lot of the polygons created in this survey will be irregular. I also am having trouble with the units, currently it is in acres, and I want sq ft, but it looks like my calculations are off... thank you for any assistance!

Have you tried the tool 'Minimum Bounding Geometry'? That's what I use to get the length and width from polygons!

Do you have a calculation example for this to insert into Survey123? I haven't used this before, thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! I am still a little confused. It looks like I can only extract length or width of a geotrace question, not a geoshape question? I can only find area and perimeter formulas for geoshape (which is fine, we could use ArcGIS to get the length of the sides, but I was hoping there was a way to do it in the survey).
