How To Change the Year Appearance of a Date Field to a Dropdown Year Picker

Hello, everyone!

I have a date field with a year appearance. Please see screenshot below. My concern is that I cannot "conveniently" select a year using this appearance. For instance, I want to select year 1960, I need to tap the + button multiple times before I can select 1960.

Is there a way to change its appearance to a dropdown menu or any "convenient" appearance for picking a year? By the way, for the Date Constructed field, the requirement is that: 1.) the field should be a date field, and 2.) the user will just pick a year. Thank you in advance for any hints/ideas.

There are no additional formats for this. You tell it "year" and the app/OS do the rest.

I find the "year" option frustrating for this reason, and typically just use "date" since you can scroll through that easier. You can extract just year from a full date if need be.
