How do I add or merge existing point shapefile to/with survey 123 data

I have already used the survey 123 for some work. i was later given a different data/shapefile collected with GPS device and want to add/merge with that of survey 123 to have a complete data for online analysis on a web map.

I tried adding as a hosted feature layer but it can only be seen in the map viewer but not in the survey 123 data viewer

I think you need to use the Append tool to append the data into the Survey123 feature service layer of your survey.
