I'm new to Survey123 and I created a survey for collecting gillnetting data. There are a few groups to help keep information separate and a few repeats (checking the same net multiple times but wanting to keep track of which check fish are caught). When I go to export to CSV, I get an individual CSV for each group and each repeat submission. How do I set it up to get all of the information to show up in one CSV? I was using repeats and groups to make the data collection process more streamlined in the field and I was hoping it would be an easy offload of data instead of having to enter all of the data.
Any suggestions?
Hi @SamanthaHannabass !
Here is a great blog post about repeats I would suggest reading. If you have multiple repeats in your survey, I would maybe suggest adding a "Type" question in your repeat and then condensing it into one table. But yes, repeats creating related tables is expected behavior. Are the groups inside the repeats? Groups are not supposed to create related tables.
If you did not want a related table, you could still have the repeat but then pull that information up back outside the repeat using the calculation column. Of course that would require new fields in your parent table to store the repeat data.
