Does anyone know how to disable the marker from moving in the map for a geopoint question type? In some cases, we have to manually enter in coordinates into the geopoint map and sometimes individuals accidentally touch the map before hitting the green submit arrow in the bottom right hand corner which causes the point to move in the map without the recorder realizing it.

Hi Jeena,

This is not currently possible, if the geopoint question is not read only, when you open the full map view, you can either edit the coordinates in the input box, or move the pin on the map. Please raise this as an possible enhancement to the map view as an idea on the Survey123 Ideas page.

As a workaround currently, you could make the geopoint question read only, and then have the input boxes for the lat and long as questions in the survey, and use those inputs to the set the geopoint question location via a calculation. That way the user can only type in the coordinate values in the survey, which sets the geopoint, but can not interact with the map. See more information here: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/survey123/desktop/create-surveys/geopoints.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_B1148946F7B94...

Phil.

Thank you Phil! I will look into the geopoint question as read only with the input boxes.
