Default date doesn't show in web survey

I authored a simple check-in survey in Connect, with a date field set to a default value of "today()". However, when I publish and open the survey in the web application, the default date doesn't appear. Is this a limitation of the Connect to Web App translation?

I've noticed this in other surveys I've authored as well, however I thought it was due to republishing a survey after making changes. I deleted my check in survey and tried publishing it again, but the same error occurred.

Thank you,

Hilary

Hi Hilary,

Try to put today() under calculation field, instead of default and publish again. You should be able to see today value for your date question.

Wouldn't that change all values to today() even if the users entered a different date? In my case, I only want to set the default value, not enforce that it's using that value.
