Hi all,
I'm working on a survey in Survey123 Connect where I'd like the geopoint map to display taller than it is wide (portrait orientation) so it's easier for users to interact with given the data collection area of interest.
I found that the height parameter in the body::esri:style column works well for this in the Survey123 field app (e.g. height=50%), but I don't see anything that is supported in the web browser version. Our survey will be going to the community and many will prefer the web browser over downloading the app.
I'm wondering:
- Is there any known workaround to increase the geopoint map height when the survey is filled out in a web browser?
- Is this something on the roadmap for the web app?
Any guidance or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
You might be limited on the web, there is a button to open the map larger.
Hey Neal, thanks again for your insights. I'm not seeing any workarounds, so I think I'll add a note to enlarge the map like you've shown as the temporary solution.
ESRI Staff - please let me know if this is a feature that may be implemented in the future! Not a huge priority but I imagine its a simple(r) solution.
If it is something you would like to see, I suggest making an idea including a use case where it would be beneficial.
Hey @EthanMcGhee10,
Thank you for raising this! The `height` parameter in the body::esri:style column isn't something on the immediate roadmap. That said I have brought the feedback in internally for review.
@Neal_t_k is spot on the "large map" tool in the geo* question is the best workaround for now, and logging an ArcGIS Survey123 Idea with your use case will help track progress on the request.
