Connecting two surveys

Is it possible to connect two surveys, where the membership number entered in the first survey can become one of the choices in the second survey? Currently, members are registering in the first survey. And once I've validated and added their membership number to a single choice autocomplete question in the second survey, I let them know that they can use the second survey to enter their data. 

Is there any  way to automate this?
