I'm trying to add a field to an existing survey through Connect. The survey has repeats but this question is on the main feature layer outside of the repeats and does not depend or have dependent questions in any of the tables. The question is select_multiple from choice list within the xls form. When I go to publish, I toggle on the add field, but the publishing just hangs. There are no joins.
First thought was to just add a new field in the existing feature service in Online and then add the question in the xls form after. However, I don't even have the option to add a new field to the existing hosted layer.
I've looked through https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/faq-what-are-the-reasons-fields-cannot-be-added-to-a-h... and other posts here but I don't think that any of these conditions are related to either of my issues.
