Hi, I don't have access to edit this story, but I'm wondering how the navigation tool works in this story map.

Official Community Plan  It looks like this:

Thanks,

Hi @MeKohler ,

I took a look at the URL and this appears to be an ArcGIS StoryMaps Collection rather than a single StoryMap. The navigation is generated by the Collection itself, with each tile/card in the overview linking to a separate item (StoryMap, page, document, etc.) within the collection. The collection provides the navigation controls and manages movement between items automatically.

In this case, the grid of section thumbnails on the landing page is the collection overview. When a user selects a tile, the corresponding collection item opens. The navigation behavior is configured at the Collection level, not within the individual stories.

If you're trying to reproduce this design, you would typically:

  1. Create the individual StoryMaps (or other content items).
  2. Create a StoryMaps Collection.
  3. Add each item to the Collection.
  4. Configure the Collection layout and navigation options.

Since you don't have edit access to this specific Collection, you won't be able to see the underlying configuration, but from the public view it appears to be a standard StoryMaps Collection using thumbnail-based navigation.
