Is it possible to add the timeline feature to a map tour?

Is it possible to add the timeline feature to a map tour? I see that this is an option for the sidecar but not the map tour yet, is this planned for an upcoming update?

@CynthiaWalker  -- We do not currently have plans to add timelines inside a map tour. If you'd like to see this enhancement in a future release, please add an idea to the StoryMaps ideas board so we can track the interest in this request.

You can already add a timeline to a sidecar narrative panel, so you could create something similar to what you are looking to do using a sidecar and map choreography.
