Sometimes the spatial content you want a reader to focus on in a image or map in a Swipe block would be better served by a vertical swipe, rather than a horizontal one.
Also, on a mobile device, with its narrow viewport, the swipe experience may be better served with a vertical behavior.
Perhaps an option could be added to the Swipe tool for the author to choose between horizontal and vertical behavior?
