Legend is a fundamental element of a map. Making it available in map tour allows users to understand the map easily. Without the legend, it is difficult for users to know what the features are on the map.
In my company when we need to get a point across for active traffic and transportation practices, we use a lot of Story Maps and specifically map tours. Not being able to add a legend to your base map makes using your own base map practically useless. Would love to see this get some traction.
Having a Legend available to the Basemap in Map Tours would be helpful for continuity and consistency. When some of my sidecars have legends but then my Map Tours do not, it is inconsistent and not as easy to flow through the map. Definitely hope to see the Legend return to Map Tours.
I would love to be able to add legends to the maps I use in apps and story maps. Please make this a functionality- how great can a map truly be without a legend? 🙂
