I have run into a snag trying to get a weighted flow accumulation to work. I am working with data that is of relatively low resolution (50m) over an area that is approximately 10km x 25km. I have made sure that the data is in the same coordinate system at the same resolution and the pixels are perfectly aligned. However, when I run it, it just says "Updating Flow Accumulation" for hours. I have run it overnight and it has not changed. When I try to cancel it the program stops responding and I have to restart ArcGIS. I also tried this on a different computer.
What can I do to get it to work and are there any programs that will do a weighted flow accumulation with a more advanced algorithm then the D8? Thanks.
