When I use the mosaic tool to combine two or more integer (or float) rasters, originally DEM's, the value ranges (elevation) change. For example, one raster has a range of values from 1189 - 1513, the other 1215-1557. I expect the mosaicked raster to range from 1189-1557. But, instead, I get a value range of -32768 to 32767. So, the mosaicked raster is useless to me.
