I am trying to use the Rank tool, in the spatial analyst toolbox, and it fails without providing an error message. The message says it succeeded - but the tool failed and there is no output:
This is being used on 4 raster data sets (attached) and the tool is set up like this:
The input paths are:
C:\Spatial_Modelling\Spatial_Modelling.gdb\ROADFUZZ2
C:\Spatial_Modelling\Spatial_Modelling.gdb\SLPFUZZ2
C:\Spatial_Modelling\Spatial_Modelling.gdb\TWNFUZZ
C:\Spatial_Modelling\Spatial_Modelling.gdb\WTRFUZZ2
The output file path is:
C:\Spatial_Modelling\Spatial_Modelling.gdb\FAND
I have also tried using this tool within a model builder with the same result.
I have tried on ArcGIS Pro version 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5.
I have tried a clean uninstall and re-install, cleared the cache and changed input/outputs to folders rather than geodatabases and all results in failure with no error message.
Any ideas how to get this tool to work?
Rank (Spatial Analyst)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
your comparison 'raster' is a constant. but you didn't indicate what you set for the environments
See the first parameter
A number can be used as an input; however, the cell size and extent must first be set in the environment.
So are the cell sizes and extents the same for the inputs? and was it specified for your constant value (first input)?
Hi @JessP_2711,
Thank you for sharing this. I am Nishani Moragoda from Esri. We tried to reproduce this issue with your data, but the Rank tool worked as expected for your test case in ArcGIS Pro 3.5, and we could not reproduce this error.
Could you please provide any additional details that might be relevant to this, such as any environments specified, how the input data were created, available storage on the C drive, or any other information that might help us reproduce this issue.
Thank you!
