Hi,

I am currently trying to get an hourly single point solar radiation output. I have a DEM that works perfectly when calculating area solar radiation, but I always get an unexpected error when I try to calculate the point radiation.  I think the problem lies in my input table.  It is an excel file and I saved it as a tab seperated text file and it still won't work.  Does anybody have any tips for getting a single point radiation calculation.  Thanks!

Sincerely,

Because insolation calculations can be time intensive, you should be sure that all factors are appropriate. Computation for your huge digital elevation model can take time, and a very huge DEM could take times.

it looks like after you make sure you have all the correct parameters set and follow the help guidelines that turning off the background processing will solve a 999999 error code.
