Hi All,

I know it might sound stupid.... but is it possible to merge two arc grid files each with different resolution into one... basically half of my file covers area that has been surveyed multiple times, the other half less time - as a final one - I would like to merge them both into one... possible?

Thanks in advance for your time,

J

Hi J

I would check out:

Mosaic tool, ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2)

Mosaic to New Raster ArcGIS Help 10.2 - Mosaic To New Raster (Data Management)

Mosaic Datasets ArcGIS Help (10.2, 10.2.1, and 10.2.2)

See which of those options would work best for you.

Hi Ian,

First thing first - thanks for your reply.

I've had a look last night - and I think I've managed to combined two tiles with different grid resolution into one... however - is there a way to export them outside ARC into .asc format without resampling them into one constant grid?

Thank you

J

No, when exporting, they have to have a standard cell size and the combined extent of the two input files
