Hello,
I have been using the Extract multivalues to points tool with two different sets of maps. For one raster set (smaller area cut by extracting by polygon) it works fine, extracting the full value from each pixel for each point. For the second set of raster maps (based on NLCD LULC) only 4 digits are extracted, which truncates the data. In the Field Properties for the attribute table of the set that works (full 5 digit value of data reported) the Name type is set to 'long' and the Data precision is set to 9, while in the set that doesn't work (only 4 digits of data reported) the Name type is set to 'short' and the Data precision is set to 4. Is there a way to set the precision of the output, or is this determined from the input maps? Is it possible to reset it in the input maps?
When I use the extract values to points tool (single layer at a time) I get the correct value, Long name types and Data precision is 9 for the maps that don't work in the multiple points tool.
Rasters derived from shape based 'Float' files (line density and Euclidean Distances) are unaffected, and all digits are displayed.
I am using a machine with Arc10 SP2 installed, which is reported to have fixed bug NIM062920, which reports erroneous values to the table.
Any suggestions on how to work around this, and even reformat the data taken to display full values appreciated.
Sincerely,
Laura
