I am working on my master thesis in Geography were i do some spatial hydrological modeling.
I use the hydology tools in the spatial analyst extension and have a question about the D8 algorithm. Hope someone can give me an answer or a hint?
How does the hydrology tools solve the problem with ambiguous flow directions? Does it have any arbitrary assignments? I know that other packages have it, but can not find information about how it is resolved in the Arc tool set.
