Solar Site Data Management failed to deploy

I'm new to using ArcGIS Solutions. The first time I've tried using one I get nowhere.

I have all the requirements for Solar Site Solutions:

Solar Site Data Management requires the following apps:

  • ArcGIS Enterprise
  • ArcGIS Pro 3.2 or later (Basic, Standard, or Advanced)
  • ArcGIS Field Maps

But when I first try to deploy one, I enter the WKID (in this case 6578 but I've also tried with 3857) and after a couple minutes the percentage gauge hits 42

hangs for a bit, then I get a generic error saying it failed to deploy.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

Hi there! We're excited you're starting to use ArcGIS Solutions. Could you confirm which version of ArcGIS Enterprise you're using so we can look into this further?

Hey, I'm using 11.3.0 (build 51575)

And I just tried again and got the same result.

Can you try to deploy another solution to see if the issue is just with the solar solution? You can try deploying the Environmental Analysis solution - that should work in 11.3.

Environmental Analysis solution worked.

I’m unable to reproduce the error on my end.

Could you please:

  1. Open the browser debugger (Ctrl + Shift + I)
  2. Attempt to deploy the solar site solution again until the failure occurs
  3. Go to the Network tab, then Export HAR (see screenshot below), and send us the HAR file

This will help us narrow down where the failure is happening.

It looks like the request is timing out due at a minute due to the current portal configuration. Can you try increasing the timeout setting to 10 minutes or longer on your portal to allow more time for the operation to complete. Then try to deploy again and see if that resolves the issue.

Sorry for the delayed response on this one. I'm not sure how to do that offhand and I'd have to ask other in my org if we would want to do that or if it would affect anything else before taking that action.

You will need to talk to your organization's admin. Unfortunately the service will not finish building if it is restricted to 1 minute but takes longer to build.
