Smart Editor widget preset will only apply to one subtype. (Road closure solution)

I've created a custom preset in the Attribute Actions to auto-populate the current date whenever a closure is created. However, the problem I'm encountering is that this date auto-population feature only works for one subtype, and fails to populate the other two subtypes. Is this a bug? What steps can I take to resolve this issue?
