I use the Esri Support Chatbot heavily for my work,(I am the company ArcGIS SME) as I have verified that out of all of the AI's (Claude, ChatGPT, Work AI's..etc), this one is the most accurate regarding Esri technical documentation and troubleshooting.

It is a great tool, but it has one problem. It does not save chat histories like ChatGPT or Claude. So when a session ends, I lose all of the information I gathered. Now I have copy and pasted answers before, but I do not always have the time to do so as I manage several environments (4+) and I am often pulled in many directions and my questions change from IT/Cloud, to geoprocessing, to coding and developers, to architecture, ...etc.

Also, since everything is on a single thread, all my different questions and conversations during that session get mashed together, and trying to go back and sort all of the different responses is something I don't have time for. Plus not to mention, I have to spend extra time redefining the parameters(i.e. what environment I am talking about) every time to ensure I am getting accurate results and not confusing the bot.

The bot is great for light one time questions or information digging. But not when you are doing full workflows and managing multiple environments and am leading and informing several different departments about ArcGIS. I could use the other AI's, but I always end up having to cross reference with the Chatbot anyways because the other AI's are clearly not as well trained on Esri documentation like the bot is. (The difference is huge)

So I am asking for an enhanced version of Esri Support Chatbot that is:

  1. Visually structured more like Claude or ChatGPT and allows you to save a certain amount of threads between sessions and to keep thread topics separated.
  2. Have specialized AI models to go into depth in certain topics. For example, you have your General AI model like the chatbot, but then suppose I need focused attention on Architecture and System Design, I can switch to that model. Or I need focused coding assistance, I can have a model focused on that. Or I need a model that is an expert only in ArcGIS Pro, I can switch to that.

All in all, I am looking for an AI workhorse with ArcGIS information. I know there is a lot of AI built into various products, but my job is not about building GIS deliverables, my job is about information: troubleshooting, how to's, why this and not that, how do things work?, ...etc. I read ArcGIS technical documentation daily and condense and redefine it to teams who are not familiar with ArcGIS so they can do their jobs. And most of my colleagues cannot or will not use the chatbot themselves and even more hate reading the documentation, so I do it. But the current chatbot is limited in letting me work more efficiently with the amount of information I need to process and then share.
