I'm finding it problematic to create map packages (.mpk) with ArcMap 10.0. In ArcMap 10.1 it's possible to do "Customize -> ArcMap Options... -> Sharing -> Enable ArcGIS Runtime Tools". This isn't possible in ArcMap 10.0.
Is there any other way to generate these packages in ArcMap 10.0?
I don't think so, I think the packaging functions were only brought in at 10.1, so you will need ArcGIS Desktop 10.1. I dunno maybe in the future someone will make some sort of adaptor for earlier versions to enable packaging.
