We are trying to connect to an ArcSDE Server which is using Postgres. We are using ArcSDE version 10.2. It didn't work. We'd get a message about a missing sdejavautil library.
We've been told to move a bunch of DLLs into the bin folder of our ArcSDE installation (Win 7). This appears to solve the problem. However we are creating a web application which will be deploy to a Linux server. Why does the Postgres version require native libraries while the Oracle version does not? Is this something that will be addressed in the near future?
