Hello QuickCapture Team,
I manage a project that uses Field Maps popup link to open a QuickCapture project and fill in project user inputs. Last year this was working great. This summer when we went to collect data we ran into two system bugs.
First if QuickCapture is not running in the background the Field Maps link launches QuickCapture but does not open the correct project, this is a known bug (https://support.esri.com/en-us/bug/when-selecting-an-arcgis-quickcapture-link-within-arcgi-bug-00018...). There is a work around which, although annoying, does work (having Quick Capture running in the background before selecting the link in Field Maps).
The second bug is a much bigger issue for us. If the QuickCapture project is left open and the user returns to Field Maps without closing it the next time the link in Field Maps is used the QuickCapture project opens but the project user inputs do not update. This can very easily lead to incorrect data being submitted. For example a fieldworker starts a survey in Field Maps, uses the popup link to open the project in QuickCapture which populates the project user input field with the correct SurveyID. The fieldworker then returns to Field Maps to complete a new survey and once again uses the popup link to return to the QuickCapture project. QuickCapture opens the project but the SurveyID from the first survey is still entered in the form and does not update.
I'm hoping the above can get flagged as a bug (if it hasn't already been reported). Right now our work around is to make sure the QuickCapture project gets closed between surveys but it's an awkward work around and at some point someone will forget to do it and data will get linked to the wrong survey.
System Details: QuickCapture version 1.25.16 running on iPadOS 26.5
