Hey All,
I have a Project that was built and stored on my local machine. Once Complete I used the new Webmap button to publish the project out to our Enterprise server where I built a dashboard to display this data to other employees on other teams. So far, so good. I have since received several request that have required me to add some new fields and layers. I have created those fields and layers and used the Overwrite Web layer option. This will successfully publish the data out to the Enterprise server but the new fields and layers do not appear in the dashboard. any of the already existing fields do in fact update so I know the data is there and accessible to the dashboard, but cant for the life of me figure out how to make the dashboard show them.
During my search I think I stumbled across a post about a python script needing to be run, but I am not sure what script, where to get it, or how to run it and I cant seem to find the link to the post about it now.
Update: It looks like Using "Overwrite Web Layer" Is only Overwriting the web layer on the enterprise server. The Webmap that was initially published and the layers contained on that Webmap remain unchanged by the update even though they came from the same project. After finding this I removed all of the original Webmap layers and pointed the map to the feature layer directly. This had the downside of breaking the list and other Dashboard widgets but it did cause the map to update and display the new information. However this still does not appear to solve the issue as when I Over write the feature layers on subsequent updates the map still does not reflect the changes coming from the updated feature layers.
Any help solving this is appreciated. TIA.
