Transparency is only working for some polygons in a single layer, but not all, #ArcGIS Pro

Ian Redding‌ is there a chance that transparency has been set to an attribute or similar for that layer?

No, it's set to None for Transparency by Attribute.

next questions would be:

what polygons are not being set to transparent?

are you using plain color? symbols? some fill pattern?

A screen grab or some description would help

It's a layer derived from a clip and then a union so maybe the stacking of data is affecting the transparency? This is 90%. If I set it to 100% it all disappears, so it is functioning. Pretty sure it has to do with how I created this layer.

You can do that check yourself, if you click on a spot in the dark red and check the table.  I suspect that you will have more than one feature selected if there was indeed overlap in the original layers.

Nope, tried it and there's only one feature selected. I'm at a loss.

run

to confirm

Union will keep overlaps.

Make sure that it is a singlepart shape and not a multipart
