I have a lot of layers with many field aliases that I have applied to the layer in a map in ArcGIS Pro. I decided it made sense to update the actual table field aliases, for obvious reasons.
Updating the table aliases does NOT change the appearance of the field aliases in the layers in the map.
Is there any way I can swap out the layer field aliases for the actual table field aliases?
In ArcMap Desktop, removing the layer, then selecting "undo" (i.e, readding the layer) did the trick. The readded layer displayed the table field names by default.
This does not seem to work in ArcGIS Pro.
