Toggle from Split Tool to Select Tool?

I feel like I must be missing something simple. Is there a keyboard shortcut in Pro to toggle to a selection tool/cursor while using the Split tool on the Edit ribbon? For example, if I select the Split tool, first I get an arrow cursor to select a line to split, then it changes to a crosshair cursor to split the line. After the split, it remains a crosshair cursor to allow the creation of more splits on the same line.

However, in my workflow, I need to select a line, split, then select a new line, split the new line, select a new line, etc. Is there a way to use the keyboard to toggle back to the arrow cursor without clicking on the tool again each time? Thanks!

Try shift + select.

After splitting, hold down the shift key and then select another segment (it will still look like the crosshairs cursor, but it will act like the select tool while you have shift held down). After you release the shift key, you'll still be using the split tool.
