Hi all,

I'm wondering how to make all of my Legend elements line up?

In the photo below, I have 3 point symbols and two polygon symbols. How do I make it so the text lines up?

For full disclosure, the two bird symbols are from the same layer, symbolized by attribute. However, the grey symbol beneath them is not.

I feel dumb.

It turns out it was a difference in patch width.

Thanks for the troubleshooting tips!

Is your text centered? It looks like your text might be center justified, which can cause the alignment to look like that. You can also check that each individual legend item is set to the same Arrangement. If one of the items is set to Patch Description Label and another is set to Patch Label Description there can be an extra space introduced for the Description. You can also check the indents. If some of the text is a layer name but other text is a class name the indents may be different. Making those the same helps align things.
