I have sorted the attributes in my table frame using the Arrangement tab in the Format Table Frame option in ArcGIS Pro. Is it possible to sort by a field that you do not want to appear in the table? My attributes are sorting as expected when I have the No. attribute turned on, but as soon as I turn it off in the table of contents, the attributes ascend based on my Dev. # field. I want to sort using the No. field but do not want it to appear in the table.

Hi Sarah,

Currently all fields used to sort a Layout Table Frame must be visible in the table frame. There is an item on the Ideas site to expand this - https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/allow-sorting-on-any-field-in-table-frames/idi-p/9317.... You may want to add your voice to this enhancement.

Thanks for the feedback,

Tom

must be on a layout?

If I open a table from the table of content, then sort a field, then hide the field there, it retains the sort order.

Now whether that carries over to a table in a layout, I have none to test

... sort of retired...
