Remove a Folder Connection

ArcGIS Pro 2.5

I made a mistake thinking I could rename a folder connection in a Catalog pane to something more identifiable; it was a folder that I had checked 'add to new projects'.  Well, I found the errors in my ways: when you rename a folder in the catalog tree in Pro, it changes the name at the file system level.  Now when I create a new project I see the big red exclamation symbol next to the 'renamed' folder that does not exist, since I've fixed it at the file system level

I have removed the offending folder connection and restarted Pro, but the broken connection persists. (Even after performing the IT Crowd's cure all, a restart).  How do I get rid of this pesky broken link?

That should just about do it....

I suppose you want more than the one project at a time repair

Actually, I discovered it under Favorites; I removed it there and all is well in the hearland!
