I was wondering if in these days of remote work if ESRI had any suggestions for RDC settings or if there were any Pro settings we may have more success with in remote access.

Our organization uses Citrix and VPNs to connect.  Each has unique issues but we've had 2 years to work them out.

Kind of an open ended question but would love to hear if you or anyone in the community has had any success stories.

I've lived that life for quite a long time. The best work around for WFH that I had was to not use Pro, but rather use ArcMap. If you keep all your data saved locally to your desktop or physical hard drive you only need VPN to access your license, but your computer doesn't develop the lag/ crash from trying to force data over the internet connection. Unfortunately I don't have a similar work around for pro...

My Pro experience is fine over Citrix.  I hear it's not great over VPN but even VPN users can use Citrix so that hasn't been too much of a problem.

I don't load anything over VPN to Pro. Sometimes it loads, but it always takes forever.

I either: load all data locally, or use a remote desktop connection/screen connect to a machine or server that is hardwired to the network, and run Pro there.
