"Sign In Using Browser" not available

We are not seeing the "Sign In Using Browser" option when trying to access ArcGIS Pro. The issue is occurring on virtual machines that are used by students on our campus. Our campus uses SSO for access to the software and when using the normal option, the Pro start-up window pops up and then immediately closes. Normally the "sign in using browser" (lower right in dark window below) option is used in non-virtual labs. Any ideas why that options is not being displayed on the virtual machines?
