Not sure if this was a fluke or if it's a bug in 3.4, but thought I'd see if anyone else is seeing the same issue.
I have a point feature service with attachments hosted on ArcGIS Online. In Pro 3.4 I selected 10 of the records and attempted to export them to a file geodatabase. All 10 records exported successfully, but all 10 points are now stacked at the location of the last point in the selection.
I had another copy (in a geodatabase) of the same data that I had exported from the feature service prior to the 3.4 update, so I selected the 10 points from that copy and exported them the same way. That export completed normally, and the points all maintained their original locations.
Has anyone else had problems exporting features from a feature service to FGDB in Pro 3.4?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Did you uncheck the boxes in the Environments tab "Transfer Geodatabase Field Properties " and "Transfer field domain descriptions"? Cause when those are on, it didnt work for me either.
I just upgraded to 3.4 and use the Export tool quite often and I've encountered this same problem. Looks like it's being looked after, hope it's fixed soon.
I can confirm the Feature Class to Geodatabase tool work.
Yes, I just got an email today saying that the bug would be fixed in Pro 3.5.
*Rant Warning* We may not be able to export selected features anymore, but we DO have icons hiding the names of our docked windows. ESRI, please stop adding new features nobody asked for and start focusing on creating a stable and functional mapping software. Exporting selected features is such a core task users are experiencing every day. Almost hard to believe new versions are being released that break something like that.
Hey there,
Today I updated to ArcGIS Pro 3.4.2 and am still encountering described problem. Feature class to Geodatabase does work as a workaround to keep the attachments. But when I enable 'Transfer Geodatabase Field Properties' or 'Transfer field domain descriptions' it will also put all the features on 1 location.
Same thing here but with lines. I have a hosted feature layer with data collected in Survey123. The exported feature class has the attachments and all records in the attribute table but the geometry is all the same single feature. Incidentally this was the last feature collected. Screenshot shows yellow lines of original data, red line shows exported data.
This is a known BUG 000172816. The workaround is to use the Copy Features tool, which works as expected and preserves attachments.
