Polygon Border Labels

Quick question about labeling polygons. I have it set to repeat every 4 inches on the map. The issue is the polygon goes beyond the map-frame of the layout but its continuing to label along the edge of the map-frame every 4 inches. I really just want it to label the polygon boundary only and stop labeling along the edge of the map-frame. Is there a button for that?
