I am unable to open a Map Package (mpkx) in Pro. I have tried Project > Import Map as well as simply double clicking the file to open. Each time it produces an Untitled project but no data. The mpkx file is 12GB in size. The data is there, I assume, but nothing. Any ideas?

This did extract the data but everything from the geodatabase was thrown into a folder called “commondata.” There is no corresponding map and I don’t have a means of opening the data as layers.

Ah, in mine, I had a p20 and p30 folder which both had a .mapx file for the map. If that's not there ... then it's not really a map package at all is it. It might be best to open a ticket with ESRI support at this point. You can send them your map package and what you've tried up until now and see if they have any other options?
