Hi, all! I hope somebody can help me out here! Basically I learned how to use Arcmap in grad school right before my department was switching to teaching ArcPro instead of map, so I never really used it. I loved the class and I'm a curious guy and want to keep the skill and learn more advanced techniques, so I decided to ask for the ArcGIS Pro 2.8 book for Christmas knowing that it would come with the 180 day EVA trial code. After redeeming it and downloading ArcPro, I keep getting the error message that I am not an authorized user or something, and that I have a public account, etc. I literally just wanted to redeem the code, go through the book exercises, and basically from what I've gathered I have to authorize myself with a single-use license (or so I thought), which I've tried multiple times. The code has been redeemed and activated, I authorized everything on my computer (as far as I know), and I really just don't know what to do since I'm not a part of any organization and therefore I have nobody to give me any type of administrative access. I'm getting frustrated and I just wanna start going through the book! What can I do to change my account from public to whatever I need to start running pro when I go to sign in?!

Any help is greatly appreciated!Screenshot 2023-12-26 194419.png

Hi Kyle, did you try starting from here? You may need to create a new account which is a pain but will hopefully activate your trial properly.
