Map not saving

Hello, I am having trouble getting my projects to save properly. I will put in a days work, save my project and go home. Lately when I have been returning to work the next day, my project will have only saved bits and pieces of my features, despite having my setting set to auto save after every action. Is this partial file corruption? Not powerful enough laptop? Any and all help is appreciated

Saving a project is not the same as saving edits on data.
These are the settings I use. 
I enable Editing as required and when stopping the session, and I've not saved everything, it will ask me what to do.
Add the Enable Edit and Save button in your Quick Access Toolbar - that way they are always visible. 

There are issues with editing in a multi-workspace session in some versions of Pro hence using single workspace sessions.

No matter if you are editing or doing layout things - you must save a lot more often and double check what Pro saved vs what you wanted it to save.  You know the story of the frog & the scorpion?
