I'm using ArcPro desktop v 2.6 and I have a .map file that I need to add to one of my maps. I can't import the .map file, presumably because the version of ArcPro that I'm using doesn't accept this file format anymore. I think it only takes .mapx files now.
Any suggestions for a work around that doesn't involve having to download an earlier version of the software? Is there any way to convert the .map file to .mapx format perhaps? Any ideas very welcome!
Where is the .map file coming from; i.e. what software was used to generate it? I ask because ArcMap saves .mxd files and Pro can save a .mapx. I'm not sure what generates a .map file, so we need to understand that first.
