Hi! I need help to create a choropleth map from county data. The data is from a standalone table and I'm having issues importing it to a layer on the map. It keeps making point data, but I need it to be polygon data so I can make the choropleth map

do you have a polygon layer to join by using one of your fields?

The USCounties layer is the only layer that has a polygon layer. The issue is that the county data just has Counties, while the SNAPhousehold county data has its county data as "Countyname, State". I'm not sure how to join the tables since I get null values

The field name doesn't matter, it is the contents of the fields that you are using to join that needs to be the same.  (eg A to A  will work between the two fields, but  A to a  won't)

I figured I couldn't join by A to a. I ended up downloading a list of the counties, adding that to the excel file SNAPCounties, adding it to GIS, then combining it with my polygon layer USCounties. That method worked, but it was annoying
